'I don't mind what you think about me'

I have already mentioned Meryl Streep in one of my post and is because I think she’s an admirable person, despite I obviously don’t know her in nearly, she has told us about she and her story through many interviews in television.

This great actress has performed remarkable movies like ‘El diablo viste a la moda’, ‘Kramer vs Kramer’, ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Los puentes de Madison’, ‘La dama de hierro’ and many others, but before being known as she is now, she had to pass some difficulties, most of them related with the mind, with how much you want to do something for keep with that dream despite someone tells you that you would never do that.

In 2015 a picture of her appeared around the social network, where she is inside the subway and there’s a little description down which says ‘This picture was taken in the way to my house, after saying me I was too ugly to be part of the movie King Kong’. That was a crucial moment in the life of Meryl, as she told in an interview, because she was starting with her career and all her dreams were about to go to hell. Anyone could get destroyed in that moment and say bye to everything, but she didn’t

She didn’t let opinion of others affected her and just let it go while she kept with her dreams, and actually before she was treated like an ugly person, she told to the Italian man ‘I’m sorry for your thinking I’m not pretty enough for your movie, but your opinion is just one in thousands’
Nowadays she has been nominated to the Oscar 19 times and won 3 of them.

She is definitely amazing.

K-si

Republica Dominicana was on my mind for this summer’s holiday, and in my family’s too; we’ve never travelled abroad together, so this holiday seems perfect to make that dream come true.

My family and I like going to places where we can live and feel the space, not just contemplate it, so the best reasons for travelling there, are the weather, beaches and the landscape and also we have a relative living there, I don’t know where exactly my cousin lives, but is a positive thing at the moment of looking for a trustworthy residence, either because he can recommend us some place, or he can take us in his home.

The beach I would most like to visit is, obviously, Punta Cana because of it warm sea, clear water and perfect swell. According to the pictures that appears on internet, and the opinion of some people that has already travelled there, it seems like a little paradise.

Despite of the bid that makes the beach to rest, there are more activities you can do there, like learning to surf, playing golf, nightlife, taking pictures to the great fauna, going to the casino, eating the typical food of the country and more.

All of this, as I said at the beginning, was only on my mind, because of different reasons we will not be able to make the trip to this destination, but we’re going to another place, to another country, somewhere that I’ll not say because I’m superstitious and whenever I told somebody my future plans, everything got canceled, so you’ll never know jeje.

Best topic ever

Well, I have learned by my own way how to play some musical instruments, like guitar, keyboard, tambourine, ukulele, Vietnamese trompe, kalimba, guiro, tormento, djembe and darbuka, so I could say that’s my special talent, but I don’t think that’s so shocking and great like doing everything at the last minute, and most of time getting good results.

With the passage of time I have discovered that and I’m not proud, actually I hate being this way because no matter I do, I always finish ‘in the shit’ doing the entire life. But as I said, most of time luck is on my side, for example when I was on first year of high school I had to read a book and I hate it, I don’t even remember the name, and I had read like 20 pages and the test was at next day… I was used to get good marks and I wasn’t going to let myself fail for a stupid book, so I call a friend on Monday night (the test was on Tuesday) and I begged her to tell me the story. 1 hour stuck on the phone (poor dad’s pocket) and I got a 6.5, wuhu! Well, I was happy but my friend didn’t because, I don’t know why, she got a low grade.

Situations like this have happened many times in my short life, but the greatest was last year, and is the reason why I’m here writing now. I started studying architecture here last year and for an unknown reason, my classmates and I were collapsed with many subjects, but I never thought that it would end so badly. I was failing all my subjects and I had just one week for saving my stay at the University and I don’t know how, I passed all of them in the last day, literally. I was on tests all the day, from 8 am to 8 pm and I did it. Well, almost, because I failed workshop but who cares :D, I passed 5/6 subjects in one day and since that day I consider doing everything at last minute and wining is… the life.

Well, not, is mediocrity :c

BIM

Well, to be honest, I’m not really sure about what I’m going to do in the future, actually, I’ve never been sure about anything anyway. Everything I do is guided by what I’m feeling at the moment, so I can’t certainly say what postgraduate course I will take, but something that have always caught my attention are PC’s programs to edit or create images and own designs, like Photoshop, Ilustrator, Autocad, among others, so that would be my focus.

What’s hot nowadays is BIM (Building Information Modeling), the program that outstrips Autocad, because you don’t have just the architectural work‘s planimetry, now with this program you can have all the building data during its lifecycle, using the software that models in 3D and at a real time. So, as you can see, this is the future, even more, is the present. I want to know everything about this,
because it’s going to be the base of all, so doing a postgraduate study about BIM would be great.

I know about a postgraduate study of Modeling and Projects Coordination here in FAU, but I’d prefer taking it abroad, because in that way my CV could improve even more than if I stay in my hometown… Maybe traveling to Italy is a good idea, but I don’t speak Italian, and BIM is already a complicated language to understand, so Spain is the best option for going.

And what do you think, too boring?

Well I’ don’t mind what you think, I just have to complete the 210 words :D
